About Us

We are a Bible-believing church that believes God is alive and Christ can still save those who turn to Him for salvation. We believe Christ has the answer for every one of man’s problems. God stands with His hand stretched out to all men and so does our church.

We have Sunday School classes for all ages. Nursery and signing for the deaf are provided for each service. Fellowship Baptist Church also has an active youth ministry and bus transportation available.

Our Pastors

William Burrows

Senior Pastor

The Lord led Pastor William Burrows to Fellowship Baptist Church and Fellowship Tract League in July 2007. He joined the staff of Fellowship Tract League as its director and also served as the assistant pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church. In January 2013, Fellowship Baptist Church voted to call him as their senior pastor. He answered that call and has been serving as our pastor ever since.

Jack Shuler

Associate Pastor

For many years, Jack Shuler traveled around the country as a singing evangelist with his wife, Sue, and their daughter, Melissa. Jack has served Fellowship Baptist Church as an associate pastor since January 2013. Jack also serves as the engineer and producer of the Fellowship Broadcast, the radio voice of the Fellowship Tract League.

Our Beliefs

God

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.

The Bible

We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises. We believe that the King James Version 1611 Bible is the preserved Bible for the English speaking people.

The Human Condition

We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus - Israel’s promised Messiah - was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

The Work of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.

The Church

We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances are a picture of their salvation, done in remembrance of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.

Christian Living

We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.

Christ’s Return

We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.

Response and Eternal Destiny

We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen.

Our Ministries

Loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves are the two commandments that Jesus said are the most important. Ministry is about finding the way that God intends us to live those loves in the world and doing what God has called us to do.

Here at Fellowship Baptist Church, we provide several ministries that you can participate in actively. If you are wanting to help out in a ministry you feel God has called you to, we would love to help you serve Him. Here are a four guidelines for being involved in a ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church.

  1. You must exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  2. You must be committed to a personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
  3. You must have skills in relating to and working with people, the congregation and others.
  4. You must demonstrate a spiritual capacity and willingness to view this ministry as being a ministry unto the Lord, by serving the body of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Fellowship Tract League

The Fellowship Tract League is a local church ministry of the Fellowship Baptist Church whose purpose is to provide the material that is needed for God’s people all around the world to fulfill His command to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations” (Matthew 28:19). We print gospel tracts free as the Lord provides, and by God’s grace and provision, we have shipped over 5 billion tracts around the world. Learn more here.

Bus Ministry

Each Wednesday a dedicated crew of men, women and teenagers go to nearby cities to pick up boys, girls, teenagers and families that would not be able to come to church otherwise. It is true that the bus ministry provides transportation, but we are more than just transportation. The bus workers work very hard to bring people to Christ. They visit their regular riders every week and also look for new riders. The bus workers are in charge of an exciting program on the bus each Wednesday which includes a Bible lesson, singing, memorizing Bible verses, games, treats and much more. Our conscientious bus workers go to each home’s door to safely escort your children to and from the bus and back to your door at the end of the day. Our bus drivers are very professional and are required to meet strict standards for safety and training.

The bus ministry is a great way for church members to help in a ministry and to practice serving others. It is unique in its ability to provide entire families a way to serve Christ together. The bus ministry is an especially valuable training tool for our teens.

Children’s Ministry

Our children’s program provides opportunities for children to learn about God through Sunday School, Sunday morning Primary Church, Wednesday night Children’s Church and special programs. You can be assured your child is getting taught Biblical stories and principles, and also learning about Jesus.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
The vision of the children’s ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church is to TRAIN children.

To lead children to a personal relationship with Christ
Reach out to others through love and service
Adore God through worship
Impact children with God’s Word
Nurture spiritual growth

Deaf Ministry

If you are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, or a hearing person who knows ASL and is a part of the Deaf community, you will find a home and place to grow at Fellowship Baptist Church. As Christians, we are intended to grow in our faith, our relationship with God, and in our service. We provide interpretation for every service and special events.

Our desire is to reach the Deaf with the Good News of Jesus Christ so their lives are transformed by the power of God through the Word of God. We also desire to see deaf believers grow in their Christian walk and find the will of God for their lives. We also provide American Sign Language (ASL) classes on Sunday afternoons.

Jail Ministry

The jail ministry of the Fellowship Baptist Church is to meet the spiritual needs of both inmates and staff through ministry that includes sharing the gospel, evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral attention. The men of our church meet inmates at the local prison and jail. They meet at Lebanon Correctional Institution and Warren Correctional Institution.

Nursery Ministry

The nursery ministry is open to all children from newborns up through age three, and is available during all services at Fellowship Baptist Church. It is our desire to come alongside parents in nurturing the faith of their children. As your child’s language skills develop, and they grow as children, we begin introducing biblical truths to them through frequent use and illustration. This instruction continues to develop in our nursery, by building a biblical vocabulary and helping your child see a great God through Bible stories they can understand! When your child grows out of our nursery, we have a great children’s church program for them to continue their knowledge of God.

Nursing Home Ministry

The church visits the Mason Health Care on the third Saturday of every month. Often the youth group has a chance to sing and visit with the elderly. It is our goal to share the Gospel with those needing salvation and to uplift and encourage those who have a relationship with the Lord. Residents in senior care facilities face new challenges which can be difficult for many of them. We want to be there with God's love. We meet so many wonderful people who sometimes minister more to us than we do to them. Just taking the time to sit with someone and listen to them share stories of when they were young means the world to some folks.

Youth Ministry

Our youth enjoy a variety of ministry oriented activities in which to participate throughout the year. These include recreational activities, fellowship opportunities, Wednesday Bible Studies, and opportunities for mission work. The activities provide excellent opportunities for youth to invite their friends, who may not have church homes of their own, to participate with them in a Christ-centered setting. Following these activities, our goal is to have these visitors will feel more comfortable coming to our services, Wednesday Bible studies, and other regularly scheduled activities with our youth.

We will soon begin Sunday night afterglows. This is a time after our Sunday evening services to get to know each other, have some food, play a few games and have a devotional. It is a good time to invite your friends. The afterglows will be held every month, but no date is set yet. As soon as it is decided, we will let you know!
